You didn’t spend years learning this medicine to spend half your consult repeating yourself.

Here’s the free video series I built to fix that. I’m giving it to every acupuncturist who wants it.

Hi — I’m Dr. Heather Wisely, L.Ac., DAcCHM. I’ve been practicing acupuncture for over 25 years. I’ve done more than 20,000 treatments. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I hit a wall.

Not with the medicine. Never with the medicine.

With the part that happens before I even pick up a needle.

You know the part I mean.

It’s 8:50 in the morning. You have a new patient coming in at 9. You’ve already reviewed their intake forms. You know their chief complaint, you have a pretty good idea of what you want to treat, and you’re ready.

⚠  And then the first thirty minutes of your consult go like this:

  • “Does it hurt?”

  •  “How does it actually work?”

  •  “Will I need to come forever?”

  •  “Is this the same as dry needling?”

  •  “I'll give it one session, my friend said she got cured in one treatment.”

Stop answering these questions & Start saving Time Today!

To be clear, I don't think those are bad questions.

They’re completely valid questions. But you have answered them approximately ten thousand times, and you will answer them ten thousand more unless something changes.

And here’s what nobody talks about: it’s not just the time. It’s what happens to your energy over the course of a full week of new patients who arrive nervous, skeptical, and not quite sure they should be there.

You can love this medicine with everything you have and still end a Tuesday feeling like you spent it fighting for your profession rather than practicing it.

I did. For years. And then I built something that fixed it.

I made a video series for my own patients.

Now I am giving it to you to share with your patients.

The “All About Acupuncture” mini-series is a professional, patient-facing video course that answers every single one of those questions before your patient ever walks in your door. It explains how acupuncture works. It shows someone getting their very first treatment on camera so needle-phobic patients can see exactly what to expect. It covers cupping, gua sha, herbs, and moxa. It explains the difference between acupuncture and dry needling. It sets realistic expectations about what a treatment plan looks like and why healing takes time.

I built it for my own clinic because I was burning out. Once I started sending it to new patients before their first appointment, everything shifted.

And I want to share it with you. Completely free.

Watch Today!

Before I tell you what’s in it, let me tell you a little about myself.

I trained at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine earning my MSTOM in 2010, and completed my Doctorate in Chinese Medicine in 2024.

I run Neighborhood Acupuncture in Draper, Utah, with my husband Stephen since 2012.

In 2020 we built a second business Wisely Living Media. Our first project was All About Acupuncture. This is a free video course I made for my own patients so they'd arrive at their first appointment already informed, already curious, and already a little less nervous.

It worked better than I expected. So I'm sharing it with other practitioners.

That's it. Just something I built for my clinic that I think could help yours.

Here's what changes when your patients watch this series before they come in.

  • Your initial consultation starts with the patient instead of with a lecture — because they already know how acupuncture works.
  • Needle anxiety walks in significantly lower, because they've already watched someone get their first treatment on camera.
  • When you recommend a treatment plan, it lands as a logical next step they were already expecting — not a sales pitch they need to push back on.
  • Your no-show rate drops. Patients who feel informed feel invested.
  • You get your time back. I cut my initial consultation from sixty minutes to thirty, I stopped offering free initial consultations and doubled my price instead!

This is for you if:

You're a licensed acupuncturist who sees new patients regularly, you're tired of spending the first half of every consult on education basics, and you're open to integrating a simple digital tool into your onboarding.

This probably isn't for you if:

You prefer to walk every patient through your own intake process verbally, you're not comfortable with patients receiving outside email communication, or you're not currently taking new patients.

Here is What Your Clients Will Get:

Your clients won't have to watch everything to find what they need — this course is organized so they can jump directly to their specific questions before their first appointment.

This module opens your clients' eyes to the fact that what we do is much bigger than acupuncture alone — and that helps them understand why you might recommend cupping, gua sha, or herbs alongside needles.

Clients watch a real woman experience her very first acupuncture treatment from the moment she sits down to her honest reaction walking out. By the time they finish this module, the question isn't whether to try it. It's when.

Many of our patients don't know we're trained in herbs — this module introduces them to herbal medicine as a clinical specialty and explains what a qualified herbalist actually looks like.

I know what you might be wondering. “Does this actually work or does it just sound good?”

Here’s what I can tell you from my own clinic, because this course is brand new and I haven’t collected practitioner testimonials yet.

Before I built this series, I tried several variations on my initial consultation. I tried offering a free 15 minute meet and greet. Inevitably people would no show or they were surprised when they didn't get a free treatment as well.

I tried in-depth consultations that were an hour before the treatment. I charged $100 for both the consultation and acupuncture treatment. The entire process was very long from start to finish and it was hard to get new clients to book.

After I created the course, I started offering 2 options for my initial consultation.

1. 60 minute consultation for $110. No need to watch videos or fill out paperwork before the session.

2. 30 minute consultation for $55. They must watch the videos and complete their initial paperwork entirely at least an hour before their consultation.

Almost everyone chooses option 2. Because it is a choice, compliance is very high.

Even though I cut the time in half and increased the price, my patients still felt like they got more value — because they arrived prepared. They knew why they were there. They weren’t using my consult time to decide whether to trust acupuncture. They’d already made that decision at home, on their couch, before they ever booked the appointment.

The consultation became a conversation about their health instead of a defense of the medicine. That changed the entire initial discussion.

Dive in and see what is inside!

I didn't stop at explaining acupuncture and herbs though.

I added these other modules to set your clients up for success!

Your clients almost always come in for one thing — this module helps them discover that what we treat reaches far beyond their chief complaint, and that acupuncture is just one of several tools we might use to address it.

Sometimes the most convincing thing you can say to a skeptical new patient is nothing — and letting someone else's experience do the talking. This module features real clients sharing their honest results, their initial hesitations, and why they kept coming back.

These short videos give your clients five simple movements they can do at home to support their treatment between sessions — organized by condition so they can go straight to what's relevant for them.

This module introduces the practitioners featured in this series so the education feels grounded in real clinical experience. As we add expert interviews over time, this section will grow to include any practitioners who are featured in this series.

I know some of you are thinking "Will this confuse my patients into booking with you instead of me?"

Here's what the research actually says about that — and I think it will surprise you.

Dr. Robert Cialdini, in both Influence and Pre-Suasion, makes a case that has stuck with me since I first read it: a credible third party with nothing to gain is consistently more persuasive than the person who stands to benefit from the outcome.

When a free video series — one that cites peer-reviewed research and has no financial stake in their decision — tells them they will need several treatments, it lands differently than when the same information is given during the checkout process.

That's exactly why I built this the way I did. Every clinical claim in this series is sourced to published research, not practitioner opinion. When your patient watches a video explaining that acupuncture for migraines typically requires a course of treatment to achieve meaningful reduction in frequency — and that information is coming from a study, not from you — they arrive at your table already sold on the process. You didn't have to say a word.

In my own clinic, patients who watched the series before their first appointment committed to treatment plans at a significantly higher rate than those who didn't. They weren't more convinced because I was more persuasive. They were more convinced because I got out of the way and let the evidence do the talking.

Let's dive into my favorite section, Conditions Treated with East Asian Medicine.

I am still building out this section and plan to continue adding to it over time.

I have a several interviews already recorded and hope to get them posted soon!

Migraine patients often arrive not knowing that we address root causes — not just symptoms — and this module shows them exactly how East Asian medicine approaches both.

Clients understand why neck pain responds so well to what we do — covering how acupuncture improves circulation, releases tension, and addresses the nervous system component that keeps so many people stuck in a pain cycle.

Back pain is one of the conditions where our research base is strongest, and this module lets that evidence do the heavy lifting for you — your clients learn how acupuncture addresses the muscles, nerves, and circulation.

Many new clients come in for fertility but they are not aware of that acupuncture can help with hormone regulation beyond fertility. They learn that we can help cycle regulation, pregnancy symptoms, postpartum and menopause transitions.

Here’s my honest promise to you.

If you implement the phone script exactly as I’ve written it, share the video link with your next three new patients, and do not notice any difference in how prepared they are when they arrive — I want you to reply to my welcome email and tell me. I will read it. I will respond. And I will personally help you figure out what to adjust for your practice and your patient population.

That’s not a marketing promise. That’s just how I work.

Acupuncture has a robust and growing body of research behind it.

There are solid systematic reviews on its effectiveness for migraines, anxiety, chronic pain, menopause, prenatal care, and more. Most of us know this. Most of our patients don’t — and that gap is part of why people walk in skeptical and why we spend so much time defending what we do instead of just doing it.

The Practitioner’s Vault is my attempt to close that gap. I’ve been curating and organizing that research for years, and I’m handing it to you so you don’t have to start from scratch.

Meet Heather Wisely

L.Ac, DAcCHM · Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine

I built this course because I had answered the same questions thousands of times. I decided to share it because I was tired of hearing other good practitioners burn out from wearing too many hats. I thought I could share this resource and save you time.

Twenty thousand client visits taught me a lot about acupuncture. I started getting a feel for how many treatments different conditions would take and how often people needed to come in.

During my doctorate I researched scientific studies to find the answers to these questions. This video series is the patient education system I wish I'd had in year one.

It's not a course about how to practice. It's the tool I use in my own clinic, handed to you directly, because the more informed our patients are, the better this medicine looks — and the longer we all get to keep doing it.

Meet Stephen Wisely

Co-Founder, Wisely Living · Operations, Production & Patient Experience at Neighborhood Acupuncture.

Stephen spent a decade in film and television production — writing, producing, and eventually running his own production company. He knows how to take complex information and make it accessible and engaging.

When we opened Neighborhood Acupuncture in 2012, Stephen stepped into every role the business needed that wasn't clinical. Phones, scheduling, check-in, check-out, marketing — if it keeps the clinic running, he handles it.

Over the years he has personally fielded thousands of patient calls and refined exactly what to say at each touchpoint to convert a curious caller into a committed patient.

When we designed the patient-facing elements of this course, he built them the way a producer would: with the audience's experience at the center of every decision.

Just to make sure this is clear before you scroll down to sign up:

It’s free. It takes sixty seconds. Your next new patient is coming. Do it now.

More Frequently Asked Questions

The thing I didn’t expect when I built this course was how much it changed the first three minutes of every new patient appointment.

Patients who watched the videos arrived differently. More relaxed. More curious. More ready. If you try this with one patient and notice what I noticed, I think you’ll understand why I’m giving it away.
